Colorful vegetable flan. Easy recipe for kids

On many occasions, mothers have the odd difficulty for their children to eat vegetables at ease and without complaints. The best way to encourage them to dare with them is to present them in an original way.

Vegetables provide proteins, fibers, minerals and a range of vitamins, essential for the physical development of children.


  • 3 carrots
  • 2 zucchini
  • 1 potato
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 bunch of fresh basil
  • 1 natural yogurt
  • Salt

That is why we propose you this colorful vegetable flan, so that being 'camouflaged' they are more attractive and easy to eat. Vegetables are essential for growth and it is good to get used to them.

1. Peel the carrots, zucchini and potato. Cut them into large pieces.

2. Steam for about 10 minutes.

4. Add the beaten eggs, the yogurt, the chopped basil to the vegetables. Season to taste and mix everything together again.

5. Pour the mixture into a lightly greased bowl or individual flan dishes.

6. Cook in a water bath in the hot oven at 180ยบ, until it has set.

7. Let cool and unmold, decorate with a sprig of parsley or some tomato slices and serve.
